The following sets out the answers to Frequently Asked Questions for JB Hi-Fi Direct Import Goods. Q. How can I pay for Direct Import Goods?
A. Currently, we are only able to accept Visa or Mastercard payment for Direct Import Goods. However, we are looking to make other payment methods available in the future such as JB Hi-Fi gift cards.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards to pay for Direct Import Goods.
Q. Do I have to pay for delivery of Direct Import Goods?A. Yes, you will need to pay the advertised delivery charge in addition to the cost of the goods themselves.
Q. Are there any limitations to how many Direct Import products I can order at once?A. Currently our website can only accept one product purchase per order.
Q. How does the Direct Import order process work?A. After you place an order through our website, we'll contact our overseas supplier and confirm availability of the stock. Once confirmed, we'll let you know that your order has been accepted and charge your credit card. JB Hi-Fi will arrange delivery on your behalf and a courier will then express deliver your purchase to you. You will be able to track progress of your delivery using a tracking number provided by the courier company that we will send to you. In the rare event that your goods are not available for direct shipping we will let you know and give you the option of cancelling your order or keeping it open for 5 days to give us the chance to get hold of the stock. If we can't do this in 5 days your order will be automatically cancelled.
Q. How will my purchase be delivered and how long will it take?A. A reputable international courier company such as Fedex or DHL will be used for all Direct Import deliveries and we aim to get your goods to you within 5-7 days after receiving your order. A tracking number will be provided to you via email once your order has been shipped. All delivery queries should be directed to the courier company.
Q. What happens if your supplier is out of stock?A. JB Hi-Fi aims to only advertise products that are available for immediate shipping to its customers. However, from time-to-time stock of advertised products may not be immediately available, for example, where we receive a large number of orders in a short time frame. If your goods are not available for direct shipping we will let you know and give you the option of cancelling your order or keeping it open for 5 days to give us the chance to get hold of the stock. If we can't dispatch your goods in 5 days, your order will be automatically cancelled.
Q. Will I be charged any taxes or duties by Customs? A. All Direct Import prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. Tax may be levied with respect to the goods by the tax or customs authorities in Australia and/or the country the goods are shipped from. You will be the importer of the product for the purpose of customs and border processing and will be liable for any such taxes. For further information please refer to our Direct Import Terms & Conditions item 3.6. and the information made publicly available by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Services (for example at http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5549.asp#Duty). Please note that it is important for you to keep all paperwork relating to your purchase of Direct Import goods for tax and warranty purposes including; (i) your invoice; and (ii) the shipping label contained in the pouch attached to the outside of the box that your goods are delivered in.
Q. Will the product come with a manual in English? A. All Direct Import orders ship with an English language instruction manual.
Q. Will the product come with Australian plugs or adaptors? A. Goods will be supplied with standard Australian power plugs and will comply with all applicable Australian standards.
Q. What if there is a fault with my product? A. If you have a problem with any Direct Import product, please refer to JB Hi-Fi Returns Policy here and the additional conditions in the Terms and Conditions. Your product can be conveniently returned to a JB Hi-Fi store for a remedy or, if you are not able to do this, you can visit www.jbhifionline.com.au/Information/5015. Please note that it is important for you to keep all paperwork relating to your purchase of goods for tax and warranty purposes including; (i) your invoice; and (ii) the shipping label contained in the pouch attached to the outside of the box that your goods are delivered in. Please also note that, if you are entitled to a repair or replacement product, repairs are likely to be carried out, and replacements will be sourced from, overseas. JB Hi-Fi's policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Q. How do I cancel an order for Direct Imports?A. Once your order is accepted by JB Hi-Fi we cannot we cannot cancel it due to the quick turnaround of orders.
Q. How do I change my delivery address after placing a Direct Import order?A. Once your order is accepted by JB Hi-Fi we cannot we cannot accept a change of delivery address due to the quick turnaround of orders. We recommend you cancel your order using the link in your Order Acknowledgement email and place a new order with an updated delivery address.
Q. Do Direct Import products include a warranty?A. All Direct Import products are covered by the JB Hi-Fi warranty which is detailed in the JB Hi-Fi Returns Policy and the additional conditions in the Terms and Conditions. Your product can be conveniently returned to a JB Hi-Fi store for a remedy or, if you are not able to do this, you can visit www.jbhifi.com.au/contact-us/. Please note that it is important for you to keep all paperwork relating to your purchase of goods for tax and warranty purposes including; (i) your invoice; and (ii) the shipping label contained in the pouch attached to the outside of the box that your goods are delivered in. Q. Do I get an invoice with my purchase?A. Yes, you will be emailed an invoice once your goods are confirmed and a copy of the invoice will also be attached to your goods when they arrive.
Q. Can I consolidate my Direct Import orders? A. We cannot consolidate or split Direct Import orders. Each order will be sent separately per invoice and order number.
