Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Camera! The RX100 is an amazing camera. That is about it. It works more efficiently than any other camera I have ever seen or used. The picture quality is excellent, as well as the video quality. I turned down much more expensive cameras for this one! Cons: It is a bit hard to use at first, with so many features, and unlike the new HX50V, it does not have an external flash. Apart from that, it is small, light, the pop up flash is a real party trick, and the colours that come out of it perfectly resemble real life. A brilliant camera. I would not want anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best camera I have ever owned My review title says it all, though I should also add the most versatile, user friendly and feature-rich camera I have ever used. Having owned a multitude of digital cameras in my life, going all the way back to the Kodak 1.3MP (DX3215) and more recently the 2009 Cyber-shot (DSC-T900) this camera is with me at all times - forget taking pictures with my phone. It's compact slim style betrays its immense power. It's almost impossible not to take a good shot with it. Don't believe me... just take a look at the images on social media photography sites (search for RX100). The effects may be a bit gimmicky to some but the quality and quantity of them can't be ignored - Love the miniature effect. As for the lack of an optical viewfinder, you don't need it when you have one of the crispest and brightest screens on a camera, even on a bright sunny day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent addition to your RX100M3 I bought this together with the plastic foregrip for my RX100M3 and spent 2 months travelling overseas with it. The great thing about this cover is its thickness and durability AND its anti glare so I didn't haven't trouble viewing the screen. The adhesive is around the perimeter of the screen only so you get some airspace between the actual screen and the protective film, this may cause moisture to show in humid conditions but its no problem and makes it easier to remove and replace when needed. I used my camera for travelling and rarely carry it in a pouch, this is a must have accessory for protecting the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Amazing Camera! I was looking for a camera to replace my existing digital, a Panasonic Lumix. I read in Time'magazine the best 25 inventions for 2012 and they had the RX100 as one of them. After finding our more about this gem, I pruchased it and have been using it for a month now and trying out all the features. The macro is superb, the Auto port framing a great idea and the picture effects, stunning. I have shown this to my friends and they are planning to buy one for themselves, that says it all. Thank you Sony.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Zoom Compact The RX100 fits my requirements almost perfectly. It's small enough to put in your pocket, yet the quality of the photos are comparable to many 4/3 cameras on the market. The auto options are convenient and logical but the deciding factor for me were the manual settings, together with the large sensor. You can also shoot in RAW and JPEG enabling post shoot tweaking. I only wish Sony had included a vufinder, even an optical one would have sufficed, also I wish SONY had covered the camera body with a "skin" such as leather or the equivalent enhancing the tactile feel of the camera. But I'm still giving it 5 stars. An incredible technological feat by Sony cramming all that technology in such a small body. In the end the results of the photos speak for themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traveler's delight At last a quality camera ideally suited for traveling. For many years I struggled carrying a DSLR on my frequent trips. Not only was it heavy but it also occupied a large volume in my carry-on luggage. The RX100 M3 solved my dilemma. Not only is it pocketable but with the excellent Zeiss lens and the 1" sensor, it produces pictures on par with my DSLR. The only slight draw back is its limited focal length. With its 2.9X it is not suitable for wild life photograhphy. But as I am mainly interested in landscape and people photography, the RX100 M3 is ideal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power-packed Surprise I've used this camera for just over a month and while still getting to know all its features have found it to be quite remarkable for a small compact camera - largely due to its 1" CMOS sensor and processing engine. The main attributes of this camera I like are its: - high resolution images, - image clarity, - incredible wide colour range, - extremely low noise, - great HD viewing screen. I was amazed at the detail when zooming in on an image - I could read the words on signs that weren't even visible in the unzoomed image. Amazing detail! The colour range especially of people's faces were excellent - seems even better than my big DSLR. I used this camera, both movie and still, in snow conditions and it performed very well. What I'm not so keen on is the position of the ON/OFF and shutter buttons - too close together. One feature I miss is an edit feature in the camera - perhaps I haven't found it yet! Most other digital cameras I have used have an on-board edit feature. While there is a help ? menu for each feature, what is lacking is a manual. It would be good if a downloadable PDF manual could be made available - it may be on the website but I haven't been able to locate it! Any help would be appreciated! Overall an excellent addition to any photographer wanting a high resolution compact camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SONY DSC_RX100 I use a Canon 7D for my main photography. I recently took the 7D on my travels to Middle East and Germany. Carrying a larger camera and an extra lens around the world on business can be a bit tedious, cumbersome and heavy so I was looking for an alternative just for long travel or carrying with me nearly everywhere I go.Don't get me wrong if I was traveling on holiday only then the 7D would go with me.Its just for regular business travel with all the extra baggage that causes the issue.Remember I have to carry an office around with me. I evaluated what was available as I only like a camera that will take good shots and particularly the higher quality shots. I chose the Sony DSC-RX100. I was not disappointed. The features are excellent for this pocket size camera and any professional would be happy with the performance. Its is quite amazing such a small camera can produce such high quality pictures. If you purchase you will not be disappointed.
