Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium Price for a premium product I bought this two months ago, to supersede my ancient 2010 MacBook White (which btw still works and runs the latest OS but has a kaput battery). After the first month I started feeling buyers regret because of a couple of perceived shortcomings; lack of USB-C ports, and lack of power. Roll forward to today, that regret is over - the littlest MacBook ever has been a real delight to use - ultra portable and so light. The build quality is supreme. The Retina display is gorgeous. This is the MacBook Air I always wanted. I don't do any heavy workload stuff like video editing, I do mail, web, and Microsoft Office and this notebook handles all with aplomb. There are a couple of things you need to be aware of though - it has one lonely USB-C non-thunderbolt port, and one headphone jack. That's it. Like me, you will inevitably find yourself trying and buying various hubs and adapters so you can charge and plug in whatever else you would normally want to. I really wish it had 2x USB-C ports. The other thing is the keyboard - the 2017 update has a much more tactile feeling keyboard than the 2015 or 2016 versions, but keep in mind it's key travel is still very shallow. Personally I like it, but understand why others might not. Those are the only two downsides in my eyes, the rest is all upside. As I'm heavily invested into the Apple ecosystem, and the tiniest MacBook has been a perfect choice for me. I also a small (450g) 20,000mAh USB-C power bank that I carry around in my satchel, which means I can completely recharge the MacBook wherever I am without having to find a wall socket. This is amazingly convenient, it gives me multiple-day usage and complete portability. I'm no longer trying to find a seat in the cafe or the airport that is next to a wall socket. And at home I plug the MacBook into a USB-C desktop hub that charges the laptop while giving me access to dual-display external monitors and hard drives. Sweet. The cutest MacBook certainly isn't for everyone, but you'd be surprised.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It gets worse Bought about 6 months ago and thought it was great. Pretty fast. Long battery life. I popped it on the charger when it was dead so I could do some work and obviously overnight it turned off because now it won't turn on at all. Triedfor over an hour with three different chargers and it doesnt even show a charhing sign or anything. Its just completely black. Extremely disappointed and wish I could return it, it's just ridiculous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love my MacBook I just love it. What else is there to say. It's not going to edit 4K videos, but it'll do everything else and in style.
