Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Buy! HP Chromebook This has been an excellent buy. I had been researching for a replacement chromebook for a while and mainly looked at the Samsung, Asus and Acer brands that featured an intel chip processor and high resolution screens. Most retailers in Australia do not stock the higher quality chromebooks and therefore it was difficult to be sure what to buy. When I saw this one on sale at JB HiFi I acted quickly and purchased it. It’s the best decision I have ever made in this field of interest. Aesthetically, this chromebook is a joy to behold. Love, the ceramic finish top and the blue interior. As for the rest it ticked all the right boxes for what I wanted: a fast processor, excellent resolution, a touchscreen, a two in one aspect, 8GB of RAM and a backlit keyboard, good speakers and a touchpad that is very responsive and a joy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good without being great Bought this on sale about a week ago and so far have been happy with it. Was looking for a chromebook with little to no compromise and this one best suited that since it's super hard to find a good chromebook in Aus. Here are my thoughts. - Build Quality Really good. Mostly metal and feels really high quality and it looks great. Ceramic lid looks fantastic and the blue body to me looks awesome, really stands out. Hinge is also really sturdy and no wobbles. - Screen Good. 14 inch Full HD and gets really bright and nice and dull and perfect size. Really good viewing angles but big flaw for me is that the colour temperature. Screen is really warm so colours are a little mute and whites are quite yellow. It's like having your TV on the Warm2 colour setting. For me i'd like something cooler and in Chrome OS you can't change this. Night mode would only make it more yellow. - Keyboard Good. Backlit and good amount of click but keys are a bit on the small size. There's space on the body to have bigger keys so think it could have been implemented better. I use a Lenovo X1 Carbon for work and that keyboard is way better and uses space better. - Trackpad Decent. Accurate and clicky but way to big. It's huge...about half the width of the keyboard. Sounds good BUT for me when i rest my hand on the body i click the pad by accident. Have done it about three times typing this. Just gotta adjust how i type now. - Speakers Decent. B&O branded but yeah it does sound ok and is upward facing but no body to the sound. Sitting above the keyboard it took up useful space to make the keyboard better. - Battery Great. Getting several hours of battery. - Performance Great. High end 8th Gen Intel processor and 8gb ram, thing is super fast. Although Chrome OS doesn't need heaps of power, these specs will help this last a long time without slowing down as i'm sure the OS will continue to grow and that would need more power. Overall good laptop with some things that hold it back from being great. Would recommend though if you have the budget as most chromebooks have a feature compromise, whereas this one doesn't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not the best Amazing in terms of looks and accessibility, It is pretty light and easy to carry everywhere.. Although I do have some problems with the touch pad. It is so hard to use. Also, I literally bought it today and it's already starting to lag a bit. kinda annoying we'll see how it turns out in future. Will update after a few months of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like a real PC! I recently purchased an entry level Chromebook which I thought would be sufficient, however found that it didn't perform as well as I would like with the way Chrome OS now operates with Android apps rather that just web apps. I returned the other model and purchased this one instead and was loving it immediately! It runs smoothly, looks and feels like a premium device, has a great display and just works how it should. If you want to switch to a Chromebook but want something that doesn't feel cheap and can truly replace your PC or Mac, I highly recommend this HP Chromebook.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not worth the price tag The quality of the hp x360 is the same as the windows version but this one comes with chrome os. The bad thing is that this only has i3 compared to the i5 on the windows version which is quite disappointing. However it would be good to get the windows version and install chrome os onto it so you can get the best of both worlds and a lot more power. At 1000 i’d Probably skip it,but if at 600 i’d Jump on it
