App seems to work well and will be interesting when mobile reception is borderline. Video quality is good though the auto day/night detection doesn't seem to work very well, but it can be manually changed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't go anywhere near it Really complicated to set up. Doesn't work 80% of the time in terms of viewing remotely. The software is so antiquated that you can't view the cameras via Chrome or Microsoft Edge, so you are forced to use Firefox or the smart phone. Bought two of these - probably the worst two cameras I've ever bought.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy installation Bought it about a month ago. No problem till the date. Easy to setup and change camera location as u like. some of the features needs more improvement. You need to have intermediate level of skills in internet and digital technology so u can play around with its settings. Disadvantage: slow reaction during replay or live play. Sometimes connection fails to play live. Skips few seconds during live play.

I've had this camera for a couple of months and yes the initial setup is very easy and the video quality is good, but dlink does not seem to be backwards compatible and if you don't have the latest version of windows, setting up something as simple as recording to the micro sd card is near on impossible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good features, but really bad connectivity The camera started out great. It has a WPS button on the back so connecting it to WiFi was really easy, and didn't need the D-Link app. The picture was good, the IR was also good, and I could view it using my home automation software / VLC. But then the problems started. The micro-SD card started recording fine, but then after a while it'd stop recording videos, and just start recording still images. I had to format the card fairly often so it'd record stuff again (in the end I went for an NVR so I wouldn't have to use that feature). Then viewing the live stream stopped working. I could view the MJPEG stream and still images just fine, but the RTSP stream just stopped working. I'd need to reboot (and in one case, factory reset) the device to get it to show up again. Then it'd just drop connectivity. If the internet dropped out for even 10 seconds, the camera wouldn't reconnect. Sometimes I'd be sitting there in the loungeroom, and the orange light on the top would flash, indicating there was no connection. I'd have to hit the WPS button on our modem then on the back to connect it again. By the end of it, it was dropping the connection multiple times a day. We bought this thing to monitor our house while we were out, and it couldn't even handle that, so we returned it. It's a shame there's not much else out there that is brand-name that has these features, without cloud connectivity, for a comparable price.
