Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad I previously had the 788 headset that lasted years and I loved them but they died just as this new line came out. I had a bit of a drama getting my PC to recognise them for some reason and it took a LOT of tweaking to get them to sound to my liking. They sound good and certainly wont leave you wanting for bass but I still preferred my older model with its plain old Dolby 7.1 rather than the new Dolby 'Atmos' encoding/compression, though they could grow on me the more I get used to the difference. The mic does its job but is nothing special either. Directional sound is pretty good in games (PC), with CS:GO I could clearly hear where all shots were coming from along with footsteps of enemies. Though with just default settings the sound was just too heavy on the bass for my liking and as stated, it took quite a while to get them sounding right in both games and listening to music but I got there in the end. Things I don't like compared to my old Plantronics 788 headset; 3.1 jack only (I prefer USB for PC, it would no doubt have avoided all my issues with PC recognising them. The cable is also quite short and I had to use an extension so I didn't have to move my PC closer to compensate. Someone playing on a console in their lounge is definitely going to want an extension cable, or to consider the more expensive version for wireless. There is no software that I could find (beyond the Atmos download), which was a bit disappointing as it would have been nice to have bespoke software to make tweaking the sound easier. The build quality is definitely better than the older versions, so that is a bonus. Overall I would recommend but if you still have a older version that works well, I would probably not rush out to upgrade

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Trash I bought this on my birthday and after a few months, the whole headset just breaks. The first month of my purchase, the microphone broke. It'd make static sounds even with the microphone off. A few months later, the right ear breaks and makes a rattling noise when you shake it. In general, an absolute waste of money and I do not recommend this product for those reasons. It's not even usable, unless you just want to use one ear which I bet you wouldn't.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Impressed I bought this headset two days ago since then I've been trying to troubleshoot an apparently 'very uncommon' problem. The headset is meant to be plug and play, however, I can only do one thing or the other. I can have audio without a mic, or I can have a mic without audio.
