Rated 3 out of 5 by from worst GPS I have owned ! this unit failed within 8 days of having it ... it would no longer turn on This was a bit if a blessing as it was a garbage unit. Voice or hard to read visual warnings only. had turned voice off cuz I was so sick of it giving verbal warning of ever speed/red light camera within a km ... annoying when on roads I wasn't on !. Updates didn't bring in speed cameras that had been installed up to 5 yrs ago Road speed limits were as bad as the camera warnings. to put it mildly .... totally useless !! JB Hi Fi were awesome with their response and I switched back to a Garmin unit ..... the reason I chose this model of Navman was for the dash cam.... never got to use it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Navman with camera The trails nterface is hard to navigate, I tried just 'exploring' for the off road maps and foond it impossible to use so reverted back to using Other easier online services with downloadable maps for when there's no data coverage. The rear connector to the screen is also difficult when you have a curved screen or small screen. But a big truck or similar won't note this as an issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Big Fail!! Bought this unit 9 months ago and I have to say I'm very disappointed on so many fronts. At the outset I need to mention that I have no problems with JB HI-FI, their customer service is great and prices competitive, my issue is with this device. I usually buy cheap no-name GPS units which run for a year and then I just replace, so my review is based on years of personal experience with these cheap no-name units. Let's start with the navigation performance... huge fail!! The processing power in this unit is terrible, as it takes ages to search it's internal database but not only that, it does not have the smarts that the cheaper GPS units have and will often not find what you're looking for, so it's quicker to search on your smartphone to find the address and then enter it into the unit. When navigating it has moments where it just pauses for a few seconds, especially after you've taken a suggested turn, it seems to take a few seconds to regain it's position; I'm talking about driving on suburban highways and roads where GPS signal is very strong, not inner city & CBD where most GPS units suffer. The other problem is that when you go into a tunnel it just freezes until it finds GPS signal again, unlike the cheaper models that recognise you are in a tunnel (based on mapped route) and keep directing you at the last known speed so you have an idea where you are going to exit, but no, this one just freezes until it finds GPS signal and then takes it's time to get back on track, by which time it's too late because you've already probably taken the wrong exit :( The other problems with this unit relate to usability with the interface which is slow and sometimes unresponsive. I honestly should have taken this back to the store but was just too busy with work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Returned it after one day trip out i have a Hilux so yes the suspension is on the hard side problem is the unit wouldn't stay straight would spent most of the time filming the sky or the dashboard. Probably ok for normal roads as long as you stay of the dirt but that defeats the purpose of this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surpassed expectation Purchased online and picked up in City. The unit fits perfect on my Prado windscreen, the camera is excellent, this is a fab unit, it has a great screen size and easy to use like my old MY 500. I have noticed that it doesn't offer the feature to transmit through the radio like my old one which is one of the few negatives.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fault in the voice Bought in July as a present for my partner. Found out recently he hates it. He always has the volume off as there is something wrong with the speaker/voice. Very distorted when i heard it. Very disappointed. Returning it to JB HI FI to get it fixed. I hope it can get fixed. Don't think it was worth the money. Initially i got excited thinking Wow it has both navigator and dash cam. Sadly Not worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from hidden "features" The item has many "features", many not discovered until after it was bought. Some features were not positive. Some that were positive were not available on some models, but it did not specify if they were available on the one I bought. It was more like a lucky dip than a considered purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing but issues Wish I never bothered paying so much for this unit. Have had nothing but issues with it. Installed it precicely, using the positioning lines for the camera to be level to horizon, bonnet etc. like you're meant to. Even with adjusting it to less sensitivity, communication still says things like "you are driving too close to the car infront of you, please increase your distance" - WHEN there isn't even cars infront!! (ONLY person on the road, majority of the time). It picks up on everything around, light poles, parked cars, cats on footpaths, lol etc. thinking it's car infront of you. It's ridiculous. That's only one issue of a list.. it often freezes and gets stuck on an old location visual in the camera, the battery is absolutely useless, even after a full charge it's dead within minutes. Replaced my car fuse for the lighter thinking it was that, it wasn't. When you do the settings for visual only (rather than voice or voice & visual) it still does voice anyway. Have chosen the guys voice (much less annoying), but the girls still speaks. arggg it's very poor! Also it doesn't warn for merging lanes ahead or anything and speed light cameras it's actually warning after you pass them :-\ Overall really poorly made Navman. Not to mention the updating you require a disc/drive.. and not many new computers even have those any more, so for being a 'new release' it needs a lot of work. I wont even get started on the 4wd tracking maps and food guide (two of the main reasons i wanted this particular unit). 2 stars is because it works sometimes and the camera does loop on recording, unlike a past model i had. I'd like a refund, but i doubt after several months playing with the thing trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, that I even could. 2 year warranty, apparantly.
