Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular Sound. Surprisingly Good Loud These are surprisingly powerful. Turn them up, set sound mode to 'Loudness' (eg. in the iTunes Equaliser window.) and watch your favourite film for a knockout cinema experience. The sound will fill the room. You won't believe the wide gamut of sound that comes from just these two speakers. I couldn't believe it. The Bass output will also surprise you. Great value and simple to set up. Ideal for a makeshift cinema setup in large lounge room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speakers for a good price. I run a home studio, I spend a lot of time editing videos and while these are not the best studio speakers out there, they are very good for a great price. I wouldn't recommend these to everyone, they are design to output a flat sound. This is on purpose so you can tune your project correctly. So if you are after thumping bass, choose something else. Instead you will get a more true sound and that's what I need. If you are doing video production and need some good speakers that won't break the bank, these are a good start.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sound, good build quality I've been using these as reference speakers for the last few weeks. They help maintain QC for music/narration when editing. Be careful when using the headphone 3.5mm jack on these; there's a amp which can overload your cans...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy The powered speaker gets hot, that heat affects the position switcher, the switch dies, no more sound from un-powered speaker. This had happened to me twice. JB replaced the speakers, but replacement is also failing. Don't Buy Mackie Products

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK - Failed within 1 hour! PROBABLY just got a bad pair, but they died within the first hour when I applied volume (without any sound playing)! Response was rather flat and non-adjustable. Have now bought a different brand - much better and $100+ cheaper as a bonus.
