Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best comic book movie that isn't made by Nolan As my title. The Avengers set ending with End Game is as good as it can be for comic book movies. Nolan's Batman movies are more crime novels so I count Marvel's films as closer to comic book films... Focused on comic elements rather than acting chops but this film had good acting in any case. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whatever It Takes Perhaps the peak of the superhero genre, an event that's sure to thrill everyone, whether they've been there since the beginning or only just hopped on the ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A truly amazing conclusion This film represents the best of the MCU all put into a single movie, it closes the book, superbly. There is a lot of emotion and action sequences that are simply incredible to look at. This is a comic book come to life, and i prefer the smaller scale in this movie to the crowded stakes of Infinity War

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oscar-Worthy Greatness! Nuff said. But for real, this film packs so much emotion, action and cool moments that it's more than worthy of being bought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aggressively Excellent I couldn't help but feel satisfied by what Endgame promised and ultimately delivered. Essentially the story started in Infinity War but the writers and directors always stated that this was a totally seperate film. Less of a part 2 and more of a standalone that needed to be made. It felt like an epic movie. Very large in scale. It delivered tonnes of character development and ultimately delivered on its promise of bringing (mostly) every one back to life. I knew of fan service and nods to the past and all of the great new moments. The final battle was the extremely exciting part of the film even though Thanos' strength in this film seemed insanely inconsistent with his strength in Infinity War, although his motivations are at opposite ends of his journey. Infinity War Thanos, having collected all of the stones (suffering great loss in gathering the Soul Stone), methodically working his way to his inevitable conclusion not concerned with those opposing him. End Game Thanos sees the Mad Titan and his warmongering prime, which is unleashed in full force upon the Avengers. There may be a few plot holes, especially regarding time travel but that can be forgiven due to the character arcs. A primary example being ‘Fat’ Thor who was played for laughs at first, but became an allegory for PTSD and depression, culminating in the realisation that, despite his failings to save everyone, he was in fact still worthy. The sparing use of Captain Marvel in this film made sense as with her power set should could easily have been a deus ex machina. This film thoroughly enjoyable. It had many fun and cool moments, worthy of multiple views.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Aggressively Mediocre I couldn't help but feel disappointed by what Endgame promised but ultimately failed to deliver. Essentially the story was over in Infinity War and this was a totally seperate film that was less of a part 2 and more of a standalone that really never needed to be made. It felt like a TV movie. Very small in scale. It recommend tonnes of character development and ultimately had no point to it except to bring every one back to life. I knew of fan service and nods to the past but really nothing new. The final battle was the only really exciting part of the film but even then, Thanos' strength in this film seemed insanely inconsistent with his strength in Infinity War. There's a lot of plot holes and destroyed character arcs. And best not get me started on Fat Thor.. Which was funny at first, but became like a tired worn out joke that never ended and got less and less funny with time as the movie went on. The shoehorning in of Captain Marvel into this film was ultimately pointless and didn't make any sense at all and she shoukd have either been in it more if they were going to cram her in, or at least have her in the movie for a reason. This film was enjoyable enough. It had some fun and cool moments, good for a watch and then to forget about. But certainly not worth multiple views.
