At last, a love story for everyone!

Tim was an aspiring actor. John, the captain of the school football team. Their relationship blossomed and endured in the face of everything life threw at it – pride, adversity, discrimination, temptation and loss - until the only problem that love couldn’t solve, tried to destroy them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Endures in Spite of a Cruel Virus It brings back the pain of the AIDS crisis ,where so many wonderful boys were lost to us but ultimately this is an exquisite love story about how two Catholic school boys fell in love and conquered the prejudice of the age and families only to be struck down in their prime. Its a true story and definitely a weepie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's all about L.O.V.E! Holding the Man sensitively depicts the complex reactions of family, friends and strangers to a gay relationship. Set in the 1970's through to 1990's, this was an era when long-term gay relationships were not openly acknowledged. Then the emergence of AIDS brought fear and condemnation from the straight community. This true Australian story is a reminder of how far we have progressed in accepting people for who they are ....and how far we still need to go. Sterling cast in Ryan Corr and Craig Stott, with many familiar faces in the support ensemble.
