Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Julianne Moore always superb... I don't think Academy Award Winner Julianne Moore (The Hours) has ever turned in a poor performance. In "Still Alice", Moore plays an academic diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease, and the film charts the effect of this disorder on her academia, her career and her close knit family. With her family played by Alec Baldwin and Kristen Stewart, the film is brave and tenacious. Not a fault in the entire film; nor is it cloying, sentimental nor melodramatic. Moore's finest acting in a fine career.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from exactly right, with several meanings for "still" a case of unusual familial genetic early onset altheimers disease portrayed with heart breaking & heart warming sensitivity by Julianne Moore, supported by her daughters who stand 100% chance of carrying the same gene. Moving screenplay includes "Nothing is gone" in final scene.
