Rated 1 out of 5 by from Probably should not have been contemplated... Angelina Jolie's "Unbroken" although flawed was generally well received. It told the story of Olympic hopeful Louis Zamperelli and his story after being captured and later tortured by the Japanese following a disastrous emergency with his crew members. Young Louie was picked upon by his schoolmates due to his Italian heritage and his desire to become an Olympic runner. Sadly, this sequel which looks like it was made for television features a different cast and was not released to the cinemas, as it was considered a poor continuation of the story. And poor it is...simply a brief examination of Loiue's marriage, conversion to religion, battle with the bottle (alcohol) and haunting by the Japanese captain "The Bird", whom tortured him in "Unbroken". "Unbroken 2: Path to Redemption" has few production values", a completely different cast than the Jolie film and is 93 minutes of a pointless and rather painful extension of the Angelina Jolie film. In a phrase this film "should not have been made", and that is being kind to the film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from heart warming story so glad I bought this sequel to Unbroken, whose hero struggled to return to normal life and turned to alcohol as a refuge. Finally his life changed when he encountered God. That encounter brought health and healing both physically and emotionally
