Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens The characters and acting were fun and entertaining but I think the Deth Star plot was a bit boring. Rey is an ace pilot bilingual super jedi and I feel it leaves her character with no place to grow. It took Luke three movies and Ashoka five seasons of The Clone Wars to become a jedi and Rey did it in one film with no training. I liked the new planets but they were a bit bland just a desert, ice and forest planet like we’ve seen before nothing new or interesting. The special features were good but it was just more Disney marketing proper gander about how they did it right and practical when there’s as much CGI in this movie as there is in any other. I think it could have focused a bit more on the classic cast. All that said I really enjoyed the film.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from mediocre Movie is average. Great couple of characters. Special features are a big let down compared to the movies in the saga. The doco is short, the deleted scenes we short and not finished. To be honest, its not worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Decent Revisit To Kick-Start New Star Wars J.J. Abrams proves that he can pull off a competent revival of something as big as Star Wars With Episode 7. Star Wars Episode 7 is by no means perfect, for one the story structure is most definitely based on A New Hope, is that a bad thing though? Shot on 35mm film, Episode 7 looks great on Bluray and has had a very faithful transfer with all of the glorious film gran left pretty much intact. The familiar structure lends itself easily to nostalgia and works for the most part, if you are a fan of Star Wars you will most likely enjoy the film. Personally I think that Episode 7 did it's job in terms if reinvigorating the franchise and the follow ups will carve their own path.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Definition Thrill Wars Watching the latest Star Wars action-packed movie on my 60" 4-year old plasma Smart TV in clear full HD with clear Dolby Digital sound through my Sennheiser wired studio headphones, was definitely very thrilling from the beginning to the orchestral music film end credits, as I tend to be a fussy home theatre technerd when it comes to preventing electrical interference by using Belkin's one-plug Surge Cube in the wall socket while connected into it is the several-years old Belkin's Pure AV 4-outlet Surge Powerboard for absolute clear picture and sound quality from my home theatre electronics equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Star Wars revisited For those of you of an ‘experienced age’ who remember the anticipation and excitement of the very first original Star Wars will not only go back down memory lane but be completely drawn back, into the Star Wars saga with the same height of enjoyment The Force Awakens has new lovable characters and hateful villains as well as some of the original cast. The storyline is compelling and it leaves you wanting more.. and as for the younger who have just discovered George Lucas and his intergalactic story.... welcome to the world of Star Wars..
