Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great music, confused script Watched this first season (and now last season due to HBO cancelling the show) after much hype and publicity. Within the first few episodes I was beginning to lose interest due to the lack of pace and action. Set in New York in the 1970's, it is the awesome music which holds the whole thing together and at times tends to detract the viewer from the disjointed script. This aside, the acting is first class and the direction beautiful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly right Good show . Nice and wild. It nearly gets the late 70s early eighties right . Many other also good shows, like 'Halt and Catch Fire' capture the 'visual 1980s' but the gestures and expressions of the actors are post 2010.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vinal Growing up in the 70s and being introduced to all these great voices through radio tv. Vinal is a must have movie you will want to watch it monthly.
