The Doctor (Patrick Troughton) and his companions arrive on a human colony in the far flung future. The colony appears to be a giant recreational complex - a holiday camp for rest and relaxation. Everyone looks happy and carefree but all is not as it seems. The colony has been infiltrated and brainwashed by a race of giant parasitic crab creatures called the Macra. The Macra have only returned once since, 40 years later, coming face to face with the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman).

The 4 x 25 min missing episodes, which were originally part of Doctor Who’s (now mostly lost) fourth season, have been animated for the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Macra do not exist There's no such thing as Macra. It's a story. They don't exist, I tell you.... What's that noise? In the dark.... those eyes... This was what made DW "behind the sofa" stuff back in the 60's. Could be a cloudy gem given it's age now...But if this new animated version is on a par with The Power of the Daleks remake from 2016, it should be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doctor Who : The Macra Terror The new animation matched the audio. The choice between colour & B/W was good too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doctor Who and the Macra Terror The Macra Terror is one of ten Dr Who stories form the sixties in which no complete episode has survived to the present day. So any attempted to bring these stories to life again is welcome, The package itself is quite good. You get 5 versions of the story for one price. You get a colour and black and white animation. plus two reconstruted versions one with narration and one without. The narration comes from the audio cd release in the early 2000's. The last version you get is from 1992 audio cassette release with narration by Doctor 6 Colin Baker. For those's who nothing about the story it's a fun story watch featuring an early doctor. For old time fans like myself it was great relive old childhood memories. My only complaint was the makers remove at least one scene. If you going to recreate the story please do it complete. However it is still a enjoyable release and I hope it will release of others....Evil of the Daleks?
