    'Whispering Jack' is the twelfth studio album by John Farnham, first released in 1986.

    It was the first Australian-made album to be released on Compact Disc within Australia and contains the all-time classic (and everyone's favorite) "You're The Voice" AND "Pressure Down," among other classics.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible condition Wasn't in the best condition all the cds were out of its place. The cd and the DVD were both scratched. The front of the box was dinted. As well at the album had a black mark on it. Had to return it at the store and get another one. The new one was in better condition. But the slots where cds are suppose to go. Needs to be improved. Either from that. It's worth buying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor value boxset In this boxset, the only thing worth getting is the small book that's exclusive to this set. Otherwise you get items you can get separately. The vinyl is fine but nothing that special. Afterall, this was the first CD made in Australia and a lot has been made about that fact over the years so for the album to be re-released on vinyl seems like a tad of a cop-out. The CD is the horrible remaster from 2006, which is distorted and overall sounds terrible. I know this because I have the original CD and it sounds far better - with no distortion in the songs. What that says to me is that the remaster is for nought and isn't even fit for what it's supposed to do. The DVD is fine but is available separately. Worse still, the CD and DVD are in little pockets in the front cover that don't have a flap meaning they just fall right out if the boxset is shuffled a little. This is billed as a limited release with a hefty price tag to boot. If you want to listen to the album on vinyl or watch the DVD - buy it seperately. If you want to listen to the album on CD, try and track down an original copy and not the remastered version available at the moment. Overall, the package being sold here is just not worth it unless you can't live without the small book included. Trust me, it's a nice book but its not that great that you'll be coming back to it again and again.
