Deluxe Edition Features 4 Additional Tracks!

Continuing to make history this week with his TWO record-breaking comeback singles - "Shape Of You" and "Castle On The Hill" – worldwide superstar Ed Sheeran has confirmed details of his hugely anticipated new album '÷' (pronounced "divide"), set for release through Asylum/Atlantic Records!

Moreover, Ed has broken yet another streaming record this week - "Shape Of You" makes Spotify history again, breaking the record for 'one day' streams accumulating 7,940,950, which knocks Adele's "Hello" off of the top spot!

Ed commented – "First off, what a week! The reaction to my new singles has been absolutely mind-blowing and I can't thank you enough. My new album '÷' holds a very special place in my heart and I really believe this is my best work to date. I've been eager to get back and I couldn't be more excited for March 3rd."

'÷' - Ed's third studio album – is on course to become one of the most significant global album releases of 2017 and sees the 25-year-old Suffolk native in his finest form yet. The genre-defying LP is the result of an artist who consistently pushes himself in new directions, uncovering fresh musical ground using a seemingly limitless musical vocabulary. Drawing inspiration from a host of personal experiences and subjects, Ed takes you through a hugely personal journey; be that reflecting on past relationships, family memories, his musical career or his time off travelling the world in 2016.

Musically '÷' is an array of beautifully orchestrated and emotive ballads, impassioned raps laid over hip hop beats, timeless acoustic guitar masterpieces and innovative, idiosyncratic pop music. Unveiled last Friday, Ed's record-breaking dual comeback singles perfectly highlight one of the distinct divides in his musical spectrum with "Castle On The Hill" (an ode to his hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk) positioning itself towards a stadium-ready, rockier sound and "Shape Of You" dismantling and rebuilding modern-pop using little more than a loop pedal.

'÷' will reveal everything in-between whilst showcasing Ed's impeccable guitar playing, peerless lyricism, boundless musical palate and jarringly-honest, and often autobiographical, storytelling – some of the reasons this much-loved talent has built an undeniably loyal following across the globe.

Executively produced by Benny Blanco (Rihanna, The Weeknd) and Ed himself with further production coming from Johnny McDaid, Mike Elizondo and Steve Mac, the album was recorded between LA, London, Suffolk and RMS Queen Mary 2. Hugely representative of modern times, both sonically and topically, '÷' reaffirms Ed as one of the world's most forward-thinking and versatile troubadours. Furthermore, Ed created the album artwork concept, even painting the cover himself!

'÷' follows Ed's previous record-breaking, multimillion-selling albums 'x' (pronounced "multiply" from 2014) and '+' (pronounced "plus" from 2011). Spawning Ed's first-ever Ivor Novello win in 2011 with "The A Team" winning 'Best Song Musically and Lyrically,' '+' has now sold over 9 million albums worldwide and is 9 x platinum in the UK alone. His follow-up multi award-winning album 'x' has gone onto become one of the most significant and record-breaking albums of this millennium. 2014's biggest AND fastest-selling album in the UK, it was officially named one of the biggest-selling albums of all time by the Official Chart Company last year: it has received over 3.5 BILLION streams to date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing !!! I am very quick to jump in the review of divide as it was released just today. But I'm a big fan of ed and especially have been since his last two singles that are included on this album (castle on the hill, shape of you and (promo single) how would you feel (Paean) the opener on this album, Eraser is a rap song with a toned down chorus that raps abut basically his life. It's a really nice opener. Next is castle on the hill. When this first came out I was obsessed with it, just as much as shape of you. And still am. Third and fourth songs dive and shape of you. Dive... Is quite honestly the highlight of this album. It's just incredible. I urge you to listen to it. I believe it's one of eds best songs personally. And shape of you, again, am obsessed with it. The fifth track is "perfect" it's a ballad, not suprisingly. And I believe it's the first of ballads on this album. This is a very beautiful song and in fact is ed sheerans favourite in the album. Sixth and seventh tracks are Galway Girl and Happier. Happier is a ballad again, and is a nice track. Not incredible. It's very bland but very nice. I still like this song, but it's not the absolute best on this album. Galway Girl, along with Dive, highlight of the album. It's incredible from the chorus, to the hooks to the lyrics... Stunning. But what I don't like about this song is that it's ONLY 2:50 long. It's very catchy and will be one stuck in your head for a while. I'm not going to go through the the whole album but it really is an incredible work and already has its eyes on album of the year, which I believe it will be. A few other amazing songs are (What do I know, New man and Barcelona. Amazing album ed, your best in my opinion. 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from emotional feels to boppity bop Another faultless Ed Sheeran album that'll leave you crying over "Perfect" or "Supermarket Flowers" and then make you want to jam out in the car to "Galway Girl" or "Bibia Be Ye Ye"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from And to the next generation, inspiration's allowed I love Ed Sheeran (who doesn't?) so of course I wanted his new album. I don't usually buy CDs because I just don't have the room to store them, sadly. I'm glad I bought this one though. It's beautiful. It has cute pictures of Ed alongside the lyrics in the lyric book, and it's a nice and neat little bundle. Unfortunately my cardboard cover fell apart. I ripped the CD to my computer to put it on my iPod and then put the CD in my cupboard, and it came apart at the joint. I was gentle with it, but I'm guessing the awful weather just broke the glue down. I'm a bit disappointed but I guess it's nothing some sticky tape won't fix. The music itself is stunning. There's just so much emotion in his words. It's a step up from his previous work in terms of maturity. I listened to it eight times on repeat when I first got it. My favourite songs are Eraser, Castle On The Hill, Dive, and Supermarket Flowers. Galway Girl is pretty cool as well. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More of the same from our favourite ginger I know what you're thinking, ho hum another pop release from Ed Sheeran and you'd be right, it's more of the same but in the best way. Stand out tracks include the three singles and the haunting "Supermarket Flowers" about love and loss. Highly recommended, just get it and stop whining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ed Sheehan, Divide It is a fantastic piece of art that has been released into the music industry and is taking the world by storm. I have enjoyed every song on this album as it has been both music to my ears and lyrical genius.
