Description

Roger Waters' last studio album, 1992's 'Amused To Death,' was a prescient study of popular culture, exploring the power of television in the era of the First Gulf War.

The long-awaited follow-up, 2017's 'Is This The Life We Really Want?,' Rogers's first studio album in 25 years, is an unflinching commentary on the modern world and uncertain times, and a natural successor to such classic Pink Floyd albums as 'Animals' and 'The Wall.'

Produced and mixed by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Beck, U2, "From the Basement"), 'Is This The Life We Really Want?' includes 12 new Roger Waters musical compositions and studio performances.

1CD standard, housed in 4 panel / 2 pocket softpack, 16 page booklet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A dark and beautiful album Roger Waters’ first studio album in 25 years is dark and beautiful. Heartfelt songs, performed by Waters and his new band. Several of the tracks sound more like Pink Floyd than any of his previous solo albums. ‘The Last Refugee’ and ‘Broken Bones’ are highlights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great New Album I think this latest album by Roger Waters, is a great CD that feels a lot like his classic CD The Wall. And in a lot of ways, deserves a 5/5 star rating. The only thing truly missing though, is any Gilmore like guitar solo's. Other than that, it is terrific.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the wait. Feels like the music from The Wall, and the lyrics from The Final Cut. Needed a second listen to get the whole thing, but it's good stuff to hear.
