A face-to-face party like no other!

Throw an impromptu party anywhere with anyone thanks to a new play style in which players look at each other—not the screen! Bring the action and fun into the real world as you face off in wild-west duels, cow-milking competitions, a copycat dance-off, and more. Each game takes advantage of the Joy-Con controller features of the Nintendo Switch system in different ways. While the action unfolds off- screen, the audience watches the players themselves instead of the screen. That makes it as hilarious to watch as it is to play – an instant party amplifier!

    Key Features

Face-to-Face Play – Look at your friends rather than the screen as you compete in a new style of video game party full of fast and fun face-to-face games. Stare down your opponent in a wild-west duel, mimic your opponent's poses in a copycat dance-off, or rally for victory in a heated table tennis face-off.

Anywhere with anyone – Bring fun and surprise to barbecues, house parties, or wherever you travel by using the built-in stand of the Nintendo Switch system. The Nintendo Switch system comes bundled with a pair of Joy-Con controllers, allowing the party to start with just one system and the game for instant multiplayer fun.

Intuitive and simple controls using Joy-Con features – Simple rules make it easy for anyone to play and fun for everyone to watch. Each player holds a single Joy-Con, and different games use different controller features, such as motion control, HD rumble, or the IR Motion Camera.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A terrible, terrible 'game' How would you feel about a collection of not-so-much mini but rather nano games wherein most can be played without actually purchasing the game and spending $69? That is the question any prospective buyer of this 'game' needs to consider because this collection by Nintendo is not so much about quality as it is about quantity. There are 'games' like playing table tennis where you have to imagine both the ball and the table with nothing but sound from the TV or Switch to know whether you've hit the imaginary ball or not. Essentially, you're just moving your hand with one of the controllers at regular intervals with the other person and that's pretty much it. The live action tutorial videos that proceed each 'game' are obnoxious and quite lame. All I can say is that you'd likely regret your purchase, especially at the price it's selling for. 1-2-Switch should not be a paid title. At best, it's a rubbish tech demo that could be bundled with the Switch but doesn't really show off anything impressive the console can do. Honestly though, it should never have been released as it looks like the result of a rushed brainstorming session in order to push a game out the door for a console that has a terrible launch line-up. Definitely not recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's... ok? 1-2-Switch is a disappointing title from Nintendo. Nintendo has pushed out impressive party titles in the past like Nintendo Land and the Mario Party series on the Nintendo 64 and GameCube, but this game just lacks fun and variety altogether. No over-exaggeration, but you can play every single mini-game in 1-2-Switch in 30 minutes! After playing each mini-game twice, the game gets boring and becomes a dust collector for years and years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for party animals and families with children 1-2 Switch is a very accessible party game for 2 players (though there is a party mode that accommodates up to 20 players between 2 teams) that exploits the unique qualities of the Switch in a manner previously seen in console showcases such as the Wii U's Game & Wario and the Wii's WarioWare: Smooth Moves. In fact, it feels almost bizarre that this *isn't* a WarioWare game, as Wario was the king of weird and experimental ideas with Nintendo's previous hardware. Graphics are simple and straightforward, and the video tutorials are of excellent quality and do a fantastic job of easing players into these 28 simple (and highly embarrassing) activities. Party animals, social butterflies and families with children are likely to get the most value out of this. Loners and hermits need not apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Fun game perfect for this system, big screen and portable game with 2 built in controls let you play a variety of games with friends or fam, with the special rumble games too. Some single player and single player accessible games too. Game is more about interacting with friends directly, doesnt require you to look at screen constantly, with controls within the controller influencing gameplay. Game introduces virtual rumble games which replicate real world objects and unique vibrations, e.g. Marbles in a Box, Gorilla heartbeat/chest rhythm, Safe unlocking, etc. Game is based on arcade style scoring systems. Fun for multiplayer and some single player with 28 included and some bonus team and shuffle modes. Telephone, Swordfighting, QuickDraw, the Sandwich one, Ball Count, Joy con rotation are some highlights. A crazy parenting game is also included which is quite funny. Game has some less intensive minigames closer to a board game, while medium to higher level are more action, motion control or virtual rumble based.
