After the initial 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period, you can continue to access the JB Hi-Fi Device+ services (excluding Upgrade) for a monthly fee of $14.99 (subject to change) which will be charged to your Zip Money account unless you cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan.

#ZIP MONEY: JB Hi-Fi Device+ plans can only be purchased using a Zip Money account on a 24 month Zip Money interest free instalment plan. Available to approved Zip Money line of credit applicants only and subject to completion of satisfactory credit assessment. Repayment in accordance with the Zip Money instalment plan will repay the purchase of your JB Hi-Fi Device+ Plan and eligible device in 24 equal monthly instalments on your Zip Money line of credit. Any balance outstanding at the expiry of the interest free period (or for other transactions for which an interest free period does not apply) will be charged at the standard variable interest rate, 25.9% p.a., as at 1/6/2023. Your Zip Money account requires minimum monthly payments, and if you reduce your monthly instalment amounts you may not necessarily repay the full purchase amount of the JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device within the 24 month interest free period. Interest, late payment fees, a $9.95 monthly account fee and other charges may apply (and are subject to change). How do I manage my JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan?

You can manage your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan inside the JB Hi-Fi Device+ Portal, which allows you to:

  • Make an Upgrade request
  • Access all of your services
  • Technical Support from Asurion
  • Asurion Security Advisor
  • Activate your Microsoft 365 subscription (for iPad, Apple MacBook, Microsoft Surface only)
  • Change your personal contact details or update your device serial number or IMEI if your registered device is faulty and you receive a replacement device.
  • Cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan.  See 'What are my options if I no longer want my device or want to cancel my JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan?' section for important information on cancellation.

Your welcome email will have instructions on how to access the JB Hi-Fi Device+ Portal.

What are my options if I no longer want my device or want to cancel my JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan?

  • If you no longer want your registered device, you can cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan by making an Upgrade request and receive a pro rata refund to your Zip Money account. Your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan will be cancelled once you return your device and you can then choose to purchase a new device if you would like to (with or without a new JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan). See ‘Upgrade requests’ section for more information.
  • If you want to keep your registered device but no longer wish to receive the JB Hi-Fi Device+ services, you can cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan. See ‘Can I keep my device and cancel my JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan?’ section for more information.

Upgrade requests

At any time during the initial 24-month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period you can make an Upgrade request via the JB Hi-Fi Device+ Portal.
To make an Upgrade request you must:

  • log in to the JB Hi-Fi Device+ Portal with your registered email address to answer Asurion’s assessment questions about the condition of your device to confirm the eligibility of your device for an Upgrade, provide valid payment card details for payment by you of any applicable fees which may become payable in connection with the Upgrade and provide a copy of an Australian drivers’ licence or other form of acceptable form of government-issued photo identification;
  • agree to return your device to Asurion within 21 days of making your Upgrade request.

Fees and charges may apply if you return the wrong device, you return your device with components missing, your device is discovered to have activation/device locking/remote management features enabled, or your device has been AMTA locked or otherwise reported as lost or stolen.

If your Upgrade request is successful, once your device is returned:

  • Your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan will be cancelled and you will no longer be able to access the JB Hi-Fi Device+ services; and
  • You will receive a pro rata refund to your Zip Money account of the total purchase price (of your registered device and your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan) for the remaining period in the initial 24 month term of the JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan, which you can put towards the purchase of a new device if you choose to do so (with or without a new JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan). If you wish to purchase a new JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan with a new device, you will need sufficient available credit on your Zip Money Account to pay for the total purchase price (for both your chosen new device and the JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan).

Can I keep my device and cancel my JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan?

  • Yes, you can cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan (and keep your device) at any time.
  • Cancellation will take effect from your next monthly anniversary of the original purchase date (after which you will no longer be able to access the JB Hi-Fi Device+ services).
  • When you cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan (and keep your device) within the initial 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period you’ll get a pro rata refund to your Zip Money account of the price of your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan.
  • If you received a gift card as part of your purchase of a JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and you cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan before the end of the initial 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period, any refund to your Zip Money account will be reduced by a pro rata amount of the gift card.
  • You may be charged the $9.95 Zip Money monthly account fee after you cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan if you keep your device.

What happens at the end of the initial 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ Plan period?

After the initial 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period, you can continue to access the JB Hi-Fi Device+ services (excluding Upgrade) for a monthly fee of $24.99 for iPad, Apple MacBook, Microsoft Surface or $14.99 for iPhone or Samsung phone (subject to change) which will be charged to your Zip Money account unless you provide us with notice that you want to cancel your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan. You will receive a reminder email 90 days before the end of your 24 month JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan period.

Microsoft 365 subscription

Microsoft 365 is only available as part of a Device+ plan where your device is an eligible laptop or PC.

What if I already have Microsoft 365?

If You already have:

  • an existing Microsoft 365 Family Subscription when You purchase Your JB Hi-Fi Device+ Plan, Your existing Microsoft 365 Family Subscription will be paused for the duration of the Plan Term; or
  • An existing Microsoft 365 Basic subscription or Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, Your existing Microsoft 365 Basic subscription or Microsoft 365 Personal subscription (as the case may be) will be converted to a Microsoft 365 Family Subscription (in accordance with the Microsoft’s current standard process at the time of activation, including the ratio at which the remaining time on Your existing Microsoft 365 Basic or Personal subscription converts to a Microsoft 365 Family Subscription). Following such conversion, Your converted Microsoft 365 Family Subscription will be paused for the duration of the Plan Term.

When is the Zip Money monthly account fee waived?

The $9.95 Zip Money monthly account fee is waived for each month that:

  • Your Zip Money account is used exclusively for the 24 Month Instalment Plan for your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device; and
  • You repay the required instalments on the 24 Month Instalment Plan.

The $9.95 Zip Money monthly account fee will not be waived:

  • In any month there is an outstanding balance for transactions other than the 24 Month Instalment Plan for your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device; or
  • Your JB Hi-Fi Device+ Plan or your 24 Month Instalment Plan is cancelled or terminated; or
  • You opt-out of the 24 Month Instalment Plan for your JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device and make minimum monthly repayments instead.

Is there an establishment fee for Zip Money?

The establishment fee is waived for new Zip Money customers who apply for a Zip Money account at the time of purchase of the JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device. To apply for a Zip Money account, scan the QR code below or sign up during the JB Hi-Fi Device+ plan and eligible device checkout.
