Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?

Yes, for the large majority of online order deliveries you must be home to accept and sign for your delivery. The only delivery service we offer that does not require someone to be home is Australia Post untracked mail.

 Your order is valuable to us, and with the increase in parcel theft we want to make sure you receive it safely.

Any delivery option with tracking – including Same Day Courier and 3 hour Rush deliveries – require someone to be at home to sign for the delivery. 

If there is no one home when delivery is attempted you have options on how to get your goods:

Australia Post eParcel deliveries
Your order will be directed back to an Australia Post depot, Post Office or licensed agency – a card will be left at your address to notify you of this collection point and tell you how to collect your order. You can pick up your package at your convenience within the next 7 days before it is returned to JB Hi-Fi.

When collecting your order from an Australia Post depot, Post Office or licensed agency you must bring Photo ID and your missed delivery card.

Toll Satchel Express and Off Peak parcel deliveries
Your order will either be directed back to a Toll depot or a licensed Alternate Delivery Point (ADP) – a card will be left at your address to notify you of this collection point and you'll also receive an SMS and email to confirm the location and tell you how to collect your order. You can pick up your package at your convenience within 7 days before it is returned back to the JB HI-FI location it was sent from.

When collecting your order from a Toll depot or ADP you must bring Photo ID and your missed delivery card or SMS/email reference. 

Toll Fast Same Day Courier and 3 hour Rush deliveries
You will be notified via phone or SMS to confirm a time when the delivery will be made. You have the option at this point to delay delivery if this time is inconvenient for you. 

Important: If no one is available to accept the delivery when the courier arrives, the package will be returned straight back to the JB HI-Fi location it was sent from. The sending store will then make contact with you to organise collection or re-delivery of your order.

Scheduled Delivery orders (bulky items)
Our registered courier will call the day before delivery to confirm a 2 hour window with you so that you can make arrangements to greet the courier on day of delivery.

International deliveries
International orders are sent via untracked mail.

JB Hi-Fi values your feedback. Our Customer Service Team answer online enquiries between 9am and 9pm AEST Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. We always try to respond to enquiries within 48 hours during these times.
