How does site search work?
Getting started with searches
Our product database contains a massive range of items sourced from Australia and around the world. If your search returns too many results, try using more specific keywords. Or filter your search results via the categories at left of screen.
If your search returns too few results, try more generalised terms. You may also need to search via different methods to find the product you're after. For example, try searching by manufacturer rather than specific models for consumer electronics products, or artists rather than albums for music titles.
As an alternative to searching, try browsing to your item via the top category tabs. This will open up the “mega-nav” menu containing the most popular subcategories of products. You can also search by key brands in consumer electronics menus by clicking the brand logos.
Filtering search results
You can filter search criteria to narrow down results by category or price. In the case of music, you could filter by CD, Vinyl or DVD Music. Or set yourself a preferred price point. If you were looking for a Billie Eilish record under $20 but don't know the title – just search for "billie eilish". Using the filters, set your price points under $20 and narrow the category to "Vinyl".
Category pages have further opportunities to target your shopping with context specific filters. For instance, you can filter for “All 65 inch OLED TVs made by Sony with 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range enabled” on the TV pages.
Ordering search results
Search results are presented in a default “relevancy” order. This sees our most popular items listed first and is the most efficient result for the most customers. If you’d prefer to see them presented in order of price, release date or alphabetical, you can control this via the “Sort” box in the upper right corner.
We are continually fine-tuning our website search so you can find your products sooner. Feel free to contact us via the link below if you have any feedback.
