Why have I been asked to call the JB Hi-Fi Verification team?

JB Hi-Fi occasionally requests a verification call as part of our fraud protection procedures.

The process is crucial in preventing financial loss to JB Hi-Fi, deterring criminal activity, and protecting the customers like you.  

Verification calls are necessary condition of sale and agreed to by purchasers who buy online from JB Hi-Fi (Clauses 6.7, 6.9 and 16.1 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/General/Website-Terms-of-Sale/). 

Unfortunately, illegal credit card/PayPal purchases made by unauthorised people who are not the card holder, occur at a very high rate. When we request a verification call we do so because it is a necessary and established measure for transactions of this type. 

JB Hi-Fi values your feedback. Our Customer Service Team answer online enquiries between 9am and 9pm AEST Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. We always try to respond to enquiries within 48 hours during these times.
