Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'm glad I bought this when it was on special I was really excited to play this game as I have been a fan of the Gran Turismo series since the original on Playstation. After putting the disc in my excitement changed to dissapointment. First of all you can't play the campaign mode unless you play online. I'm an old school gamer who doesn't enjoy online gaming and thinks it's quite inane but for my love of gran turismo I decided to bite the bullet and get with the times and set up an online account. After doing this campaign mode would still not work as the servers where down. I f this is the future of gaming than the future is bleak

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed Gran Turisimo Sport was eagerly awaited . I've owned every GT since it's inception . A year after it's promised release date it finally became available . The creators seem to have completely forgotten who their vast majority of fans are . Gamers who play for fun . The arcade races are rubbish and to play online you have to pay a monthly subscription fee ! It has become more of a simulator than a game . If you only play using the controller , it's almost impossible to win a race . I've always thought GT was the best racing game but this will be my last unless Sony gets back to what made it so great in the first place .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing after the long wait I had been looking forward to this game for quite a while as I owned previous GT versions on various old PS. My son also wanted a car game that had some feel of earning money and a feel of genuine progression working up through the cars. While the developers focus on the realism of the actual race, other components are arcade like. Career mode? Not really. The concept of hard earned money to buy cars is gone - you can win them buy spinning a carousel like a pokie machine. Hooray, I spun and got a free Bugatti Veyron. There is also a relatively small range of cars considering there are different models of the same car. Gold medal for winning a race? Nope, a gold disco ball and cheesey music. All this effort culminates in racing online - where you have to wait for 30 minutes or so in a lobby, and then get soundly thrashed by 3 Japanese racers by an unbelievable margin, and compete with other cars warping around the track.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A true car wreck... I have all the previous GT games on PS3 and decided to get the latest version on my PS4. Well, what a clanger! Career mode is gone, ability to play offline is virtually non existent. Can't purchase cars as in previous versions. I HATE online racing, this one is based on it, you get stuck waiting in a 'room' for up to 40min to get in a game only to be pitted against players that have impossibly fast, probably hacked, cars. It's simply ridiculous and a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and buy anything else!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There is nothing available For a game i was really looking forward to, this was a major letdown. The graphics and driving are pretty good, one problem there is nothing to do. There is no content. The campaign mode no longer exists, online is limited as nothing is available yet. The only things you can really do is set up one off races, and complete some stupid tasks. Yet another game that was released well before it was completed. If you have to choose between this and Forza 7, go with Forza.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than Expected I got GT Sport only because of JB putting it in the bargain bin. My main reasoning is that I honestly didn't think it would be worth full price, actually, from what I read about it I honestly thought I'd never buy it as it seemed rather stale... Well what do you know?! It's actually really good, not 10/10 but really solid. Someone mentioned that you can't play it with a regular DualShock4, well that's rubbish as I was easily able to win on my first race (intermediate difficulty driving a Ford Mustang). The game was meant to be a major online experience with bare bones offline gameplay... But If online isn't your thing though then never fear! Polyphony have heard their fans and are bringing the classic career mode to GT Sport. Well done guys!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Making up positions It's a very different Gran Turismo. There is a heavy focus on online competitive racing, which may be a problem with Aussie internet (though it seems to function ok on ADSL1). The gameplay itself is fantastic, whether with a controller or a full wheel+pedal setup. It is currently quite light on cars and tracks, however these should be improved with upcoming (free!) DLC. Finally, a big upcoming update will include a GT League mode, which is similar to the GT Mode of the older Gran Turismos, which should help with re-playability. It's started slow, but it's starting to look very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Solid experience I finally gave in and purchased the lastest GT game after a year from release. As of now the devs added more offline content, which is great. There are a great selection of cars, as of now there are I believe 271, all with stunning detail, inside and outside. The games use of HDR and 1800p resolution on the Pro while consistently hitting 60 frames per second makes it a smooth experience. The sounds of cars are quite good, with great depth, this game actually makes me feel like I'm going fast. The sound track is decent, so far I've spotted Childish Gambino and Woodkid.
