Rated 5 out of 5 by from Team Ninja Have Done It Nioh may seem like a blatant copy of Souls games but in reality Nioh have managed to established it's own identity. The game is brilliantly tough and each enemy have their own behavioral attack patterns. Very satifrying to learn how to beat smaller enemies and bosses. Highly recommended for those with alot of patience and if those who loves Dark Souls series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its worth every dollar Nioh is a very hard game but its not as hard as dark souls. you will die many times during the storyline of nioh but you learn something about the enemies that you come across and the more hours you put in nioh, the more you enjoy it. Nioh has a similar feel to onimusha and if you are wanting a new onimusha, nioh is the closest that you will get to play on Ps4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worthy Alternative to Dark Souls & Bloodborne When i first read the reviews from ign, Gamespot and Polygon, i was dubious but i persisted and bought this game. And boy, what a game it is. Hard bosses, Way of the Samurai, Set in Japan, But lacks the gothic lore and grandeur that we've come to see from dark souls and bloodborne. Graphically, its very detailed but lacks the impressive depth and scale that dark souls has given us. Options for top graphics mode or fast frame rate more and PS4 Pro modes - it covers even the fussiest critic. Character models are great, enemies are sadly recycled. Bosses are very cool and environments are varied but not as details as bloodborne. Sound, is wonderful. a beautiful soundtrack, crisp sound effects (make sure you wear headphones to hear the sounds of the Kodama which you'll need to collect but their play music to give their positions away - hint hint). Replay value, is hard to say but from what I've seen so far at the beginning of the game, LOTS and LOTS of weapons, ammo, customization, costumes etc. Replay missions, replay bosses and sides missions galore. Go and get this game - it's definitely worth a look. Tip - the bosses will challenge you. Work out their attach patterns, upgrade your stats and then go back to finish them off. Its challenging at first and for the next 100 attempts but like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, its exhilarating and so rewarding to see your hard work and persistence pay off when you defeat the undefeatable! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stategic swordplay Sharing many similarities with the Dark Souls franchise, hard as nails and uncompromising. If you want to challenge yourself then look no further. Mastering the subtitles of combat is incredibly rewarding, tight controls and an eerie atmosphere are highlights. An essential purchase for any gamer that values learning from your mistakes and overcoming an abundance of troblesome obstacles.
