Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Last of Us Remastered Review This has got to be one of my favourite games because it was so visually stunning, the story is complex and emotional, the characterisation is wonderful, and the controls are so smooth. The actual gameplay itself is thrilling, and forces you to think about the game strategically. Absolutely in love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Reason To Get A PS4 If You Don't Have One The main reason I bought a PS4 was to play this game - and I am so happy I did. A visually stunning game with a gripping story, amazing characters and great gameplay. Words can't express how much I love this game! Highly Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest of all time. The Last of Us is my favourite game of all time, and I think the greatest game of all time, it is a masterpiece. The story is incredible, the writing is incredible , the characters are incredible and you care about them so quickly, the gameplay is incredibly visceral and realistic feeling and tense, the graphics are incredible, the soundtrack is flawless thanks to the genius that is Gustavo santaolalla. 10/10, I seriously hope the last of us 2 lives up to this work of art.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better than the original (somehow) I played The Last Of Us when it was first released on PS3 and I loved it, I had to buy the remaster and I was blown away by how a game I had already played to death was still so exciting and heart breaking all at once. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to see what it would be like to play a game that deserves twice as many game of the year awards than it has already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this game is a reality Gameplay --------------- I don't like referring The Last of Us as a videogame, but to many people, its still just a video game, and every videogame has gameplay. Instead, I like using the term "interactive media" as I did back up there, especially if the "videogame" has had such an impact on myself. -Gameplay wise I feel that it would do well to welcome new gamers. I can't verify this, because I've been gaming for years prior to this, but it's been some time since I've played a third-person view-game, and I was able to get into the action without much problem. This aspect is especially important. Example, if a person who has never played a video game before, the person would be pleased with not having to be troubled with unforgiving gameplay, especially if that person was initially attracted to the story but not the gameplay. It would be a smooth and pleasant process. -What about the players who want more of a challenge? There are different difficulties in the game ( Easy, Normal, Hard, Survivor, and Grounded(which I think is optional content on the PS3 version, but included in the PS4 version)), and you can tweak them however you want, like disabling HUD, Quick-time button prompts, and so on. The Last of Us is welcoming to new-comers and challenge-seekers alike. Music -------- -The music offered by Gustavo Santaolalla in The Last of Us are masterpieces. -I think you would also love the music in The Last of Us. Why? There are many examples throughout, but one thing that Gustavo has been able to consistently reproduce, is the power to make the majority of audiences feel the emotions that are supposed to be felt during the game. -In the end of the first chapter where there is a really sad and heart-wrenching scene that conveys a theme that will be very important throughout the game, the music that plays, fully complements the scene. Different people might have different reactions, but I've seen comments of people saying they cried. Myself, when that scene played, I got goosebumps throughout most of my upper-body, and I did tear a little. -Having myself tear-up is not an easy task, and it only serves to complement the power that the music and scenes of this media have when they work together. (didnt write this)
