Returning to the MCG for the fourth year in a row on the famous day in September, the Lions were too strong for Freo. A false-start against the Swans at the SCG in their Qualifying Final meant they had to battle it out against the Crows at the Gabba in a Semi-Final, where they were victorious. The Lions and Hawthorn were locked in for a mighty Preliminary Final, but the Lions roared home with the win and booked a spot in the Grand Final against the Fremantle Dockers. Maroon, Blue and Gold filled the MCG stands to watch history be created. A three-peat once again, Chris Fagan’s men claimed Premiership Glory and continue to rule the pride with a roar that continues to echo!
