Years after Hergé put Tintin on the front page, his friend and fellow Belgian cartoonist Edgar P. Jacobs set about crafting a very different kind of adventure. Bold, brainy, and steeped in Cold War intrigue, the Blake and Mortimer comics pitted two brilliant British minds against the forces of global villainy across stories of espionage, ancient mysteries, and rogue science. Across 26 episodes, Captain Francis Blake of MI5 and his friend Professor Philip Mortimer are repeatedly pitted against their sworn nemesis, the cunning Colonel Olrik. Drawing on nine of Jacobs' original albums alongside four brand new stories created exclusively for the screen, the series takes our heroes from the pyramids of Egypt to the frozen wastes of Iceland and far beyond.
