Old and rusty? Whatever! Jack Slamer play 70's Rock as if it was invented today - and this five piece band is just getting started.
Album (2017) in hand and hailed as SRF-3-Best-Talent, they can already look back on countless shows and venues. Inspired by Rock'n'Roll's greatest such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rival Sons, Monster Truck or Dewolff, these five childhood friends have slowly grown into the tight musical unit they are today.
Guided by the spirits of old and energized by their own boundless playfulness, they are crashing into your neighbourhood like an unstoppable freight train.
The first ten Songs of the self titled album Jack Slamer, were recorded in the Neuwerk Studios in Lahr (DE) with producer André Horstmann. The focus during this two weeks' time period was to get the special sound and feeling of the band on tape. Therefore the band moved into the studios. Beside the intensive recording sessions there were activities like cooking, playing cards, or grabbing a beer at the pub next door. The chemistry amongst all including Horstmann, was the perfect basis for the creation of a unique Rock album.
A second recording session followed in the New Sound Studios, when another two songs were recorded. With Tommy Vetterli's help, the band showed a different side of the idea of their sound
