In 1956, Wanda Jackson signed for Capitol Records, a relationship that lasted until the early '70s. Her recording career bounced back and forth between country and rockabilly; she did this by often putting one song in each style on either side of a single, and had big hits it both markets at the same time. Wanda toured regularly and was a big attraction on the road from the mid-50s into the 70s, and she was twice nominated for a Grammy. This set takes in both her musical genres, disc one contains classic country songs whilst disc two features the more up-tempo rockabilly. Features, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, Silver Threads And Golden Needles, Let's Have A Party, Long Tall Sally.
