Renowned pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev announces his upcoming album Chopin & Scriabin: Préludes. Chopin’s 24 preludes, inspired in part by Bach, take us through every possible major and minor key creating a kaleidoscope of musical moods and sensations. In turn inspired by Chopin’s set, Scriabin’s more rarely heard preludes follow the same tonal outline offering a fascinating prospectus of the visionary Russian composer’s early musical language.

The album presents Pletnev’s first DG recording in almost two decades and DG’s first pure analogue (AAA) frontline release since the 1980s, engineered by the Emil Berliner Studios.
