Legendary (The Ultimate Collection) captures the legendary Australian singer across two remarkable CDs!
Australian music legend Glenn Shorrock will release Legendary (The Ultimate Collection), a new two-CD album recorded live at the Taylors Lakes Hotel in Melbourne on 28 March 2003.
Drawn directly from the original front-of-house recording, the album captures Glenn and his band exactly as they sounded to the audience that night. There has been no post-production remixing or overdubbing, preserving the spontaneity, musicianship and atmosphere of the original performance.
Personally approved for release by Glenn, Legendary (The Ultimate Collection) features 19 performances spanning his extraordinary career with The Twilights, Axiom and Little River Band, alongside selections from his solo catalogue and songs that influenced his musical journey.
The concert includes performances of “It’s a Long Way There,” “A Little Ray of Sunshine,” “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Home on Monday,” “Help Is on Its Way” and “Cool Change.” The collection also features “Arkansas Grass,” “Curiosity (Killed the Cat),” “Emma,” “Rock ’n’ Roll Soldier,” “At the Mercy of the Sea,” “Seine City,” “Sweet Old Fashioned Man” and “Long Jumping Jeweller,” together with interpretations of “Goin’ Back,” “Dream Lover,” “Paperback Writer” and Little Feat’s “Let It Roll.”
Best known internationally as the unmistakable voice behind many of Little River Band’s greatest recordings, Glenn Shorrock has enjoyed one of the most enduring careers in Australian popular music. His work with The Twilights, Axiom and Little River Band helped establish Australian music on the international stage, while songs including “Reminiscing,” “Help Is on Its Way” and “Cool Change” remain enduring classics.
