Tha Dogg Pound (duo of Daz Dillinger & Kurupt) are foundational to the West Coast G-funk/gangsta rap legacy scene.

Their voice and production style defined a slice of the 1990s Death Row sound. Dogg Food is their debut studio album on Death Row, and a critical pillar in the label’s mid-’90s output.

The group had strong affiliation with Snoop, Nate Dogg, The Lady of Rage, and the Death Row family aesthetic, giving cross-artist brand leverage.
