Some Lonesome Picker: Greg Quill Tribute
Greg Quill was Australia's first "singer–songwriter" to emerge from the folk circuit of the early 1970's and pioneered a genre which would become a familiar staple of Australian music, with a flood of artists following in his footsteps. With the band, "Country Radio" he had chart success with Gypsy Queen and Wintersong and toured extensively throughout Australia.
Produced by Kerryn Tolhurst and featuring Paul Kelly, Russell Morris, Richard Clapton, Ross Wilson, Joe Camilleri and many more, this album is a tribute to a pioneer of Australian songwriting and an acknowledgement of his influence and respect.
Sadly, Greg Quill passed away in May, 2013
