Led by the singer/songwriter Mike Scott, The Watersboys released the acclaimed album Fisherman's Blues in 1988, joined by traditional Irish players resulting in a stripped-down, folky sound.

Recorded in Dublin and Galway, Ireland and Berkeley, California, Fisherman's Blues was a dramatic change in The Waterboys' sound, a sound heavily influenced by rootsy American rock and rich musical traditions of the band's home countries.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fisherman's Blues album, PLG are releasing a 6CD clamshell box entitled "Fisherman's Box".

This 6CD Clamshell Edition will contain the 6 CDs of the sessions (121 track with many unreleased) and a 64 page 5x5 booklet containing the introduction and annotation with rare and unseen photographs.
