Six glass Santa heads, each with a shimmering red hat, soft white fur trim finished with a pom pom, and holly berries at the brim. The faces are the old fashioned kind, cheerful and warm, the Santa people picture before they picture anything else. Hang them and the tree stops being decorated and starts feeling familiar.
At 13cm each these are substantial ornaments, considerably larger than a standard bauble, so a few placed well carry more weight than a dozen small ones. Give them room on the outer branches where the face is visible.
Six arrive gift boxed. This is the set you buy for a grandparent, or for the tree the grandchildren visit, and it is the set that gets carefully wrapped in tissue every January because nobody is willing to risk it.
