With classes largely behind them, Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) and the remaining members of the Save Greendale Committee enter their sixth year together under the watchful eye of Dean Pelton’s (Jim Rash) new management consultant, Frankie Dart (Paget Brewster). After an ill-advised brush with a pricey virtual reality system leads its inventor, Elroy Patashnik (Keith David), to join them, the group faces everything from prison inmates attending class via robots and a young computer hacker’s threat to expose embarrassing school emails to an insidious guerilla marketing campaign and a con man professor bent on matching wits with Jeff. Yet, following a road trip gone awry and a revival of their outlawed paintball wars, they reach the end of the year still questioning their future, even as they cherish their past.
