Check your outdoor space and adjust the view from your phone with the Connect SmartHome 2K Outdoor Pan and Tilt Camera with Solar Panel. It combines rechargeable battery power, app control and motion alerts, helping you see what's happening without running a fixed mains power connection to the camera.
Move the view to suit your space
The camera offers 350° horizontal pan and 90° tilt, so you can change its viewing direction through the Connect SmartHome app. Digital zoom lets you take a closer look within the image. Its 2K video resolution is 2560 x 1440 at 15 frames per second, with live viewing, snapshots and manual video capture available in the app.
View at night
Choose infrared mode for black-and-white footage or colour mode, which switches on the camera's LED lights to capture a colour image. Night vision reaches up to 10m. Select the mode that suits the area you are monitoring rather than expecting colour footage in complete darkness without illumination.
Stay informed when movement is detected
PIR motion detection supports a range of up to 8m and a 100° detection angle. Adjust sensitivity in the app and enable human motion detection to tailor your settings. Motion notifications help you check detected activity, while two-way audio lets you listen and speak through the camera. A siren can also be configured to activate when motion is detected.
Solar-assisted battery charging
The camera uses a rechargeable 6600mAh battery with USB-C charging. Its 3W solar panel connects through a 3m cable, giving you flexibility to position the panel separately from the camera. Fully charge the battery before installation and check its remaining charge in the app. Solar charging depends on available sunlight, so additional USB charging may be needed.
Save motion events locally
Store motion-triggered recordings on a 4GB to 256GB microSD card, sold separately. Use a Class 10 and U1 card or higher. Playback in the app lets you select a date and review recorded events. Local storage does not require a cloud storage subscription.
Connection and installation
The camera supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. Use a smartphone with Bluetooth enabled for pairing and the Connect SmartHome app on Android 6.0 or later or iOS 11.0 or later. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support is also available.
Choose a mounting position with a strong Wi-Fi signal and avoid placing the PIR sensor behind glass. The IP65-rated camera resists dust and rain but must not be submerged. Install it upright, keep unused ports covered and ensure the solar cable connection is sealed. Camera dimensions are 12 x 12.6 x 9.6cm, with a weight of 0.504kg.
