The Connect SmartHome Smart Deadbolt Lock in black gives household members and guests several ways to enter a compatible door. Choose fingerprint recognition, a keypad passcode, a registered keycard or a mechanical key. Optional connection to the Connect SmartHome app adds user management, temporary passcodes, access records and visitor unlock requests.
Choose how each person enters
Set up individual access credentials for family members or visitors. Passcodes use four to eight digits, and the lock supports up to 100 fingerprint records. Its total capacity is 200 combined fingerprint, password and card records, with up to nine administrator records. Single authentication mode accepts one registered credential, while combination mode requires two credentials to unlock.
Manage guest access through the app
Create temporary passcodes with a start and end time for visitors who need access during a set period. You can also review access records and check the battery level from the app. Temporary passcodes may take a few minutes to synchronise with the lock.
App unlocking follows a request process. A visitor wakes the keypad and presses 9 followed by the unlock button to send a request. You can then review and confirm that request in the app. App setup requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth enabled on your phone during pairing. The keypad can operate independently without app setup.
Set locking behaviour to suit your routine
Choose an automatic locking delay from 5 to 69 seconds. Passage mode keeps the door unlocked until you manually lock it again, which can be useful when people are moving in and out. An interior thumbturn and lock/unlock switch provide control from inside.
Check your door before installation
- Suitable door thickness: 35mm to 50mm.
- Backset: 60mm to 70mm.
- Required door-to-frame gap: at least 5mm.
- This deadbolt provides locking control; a separate door handle is recommended.
Follow the drilling template and installation instructions to check the fit and alignment. Professional installation is recommended. The lock has no IP rating and needs a sheltered position away from rain, snow, sleet and high humidity. Condensation can affect operation.
Power and initial setup
The lock requires four AA alkaline batteries, sold separately. Rechargeable and non-alkaline batteries are not recommended. If the batteries run flat, a 5V USB-C power source can temporarily power the lock for access. This emergency input does not recharge the batteries. A mechanical key provides another access option.
Complete administrator and user registration before relying on the lock. In its factory state, it accepts any passcode, fingerprint or keycard. After registration, test your authorised credentials and locking settings before everyday use.
