Why this kit matters
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of Germany's key fighter aircraft during the Second World War. The Fw 190A-8 was a late-war version of the radial-engined fighter, and aircraft represented by this kit served with several German fighter units during 1944 and 1945. The kit's five marking options reflect aircraft associated with units including JG 1, JG 4, JG 5 and JG 300.
The Fw 190 also saw extensive combat against Allied aircraft. Imperial War Museums records encounters between Fw 190 fighters and Allied aircraft during operations in the European theatre, including the Channel Dash in February 1942. This history makes the Fw 190 a popular subject for WWII aircraft model kits and aviation collections.
How to use it
Build using modelling tools, paint and glue. The Eduard instructions include paint references and assembly guidance, and specifically refer to the use of glue and paint during construction. Display proudly once finished, at home or in your collection cabinet.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
