Why this kit matters
The Curtiss P-40 was an important Allied fighter aircraft of the Second World War. The P-40E variant, known as the Kittyhawk Mk.Ia in British service, featured six .50 calibre machine guns mounted in the wings. P-40 aircraft served with American, British Commonwealth and other Allied air forces across several theatres of war.
The P-40N was one of the later production versions of the fighter and was also operated under the Kittyhawk name by Commonwealth air forces. The aircraft became well known for its use in North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Pacific, where its rugged construction made it suitable for demanding combat operations.
How to use it
Build both aircraft using plastic cement, paint and suitable modelling tools. The kit includes photo-etched details, decals and painting masks, while paint and glue are not included.
