Why this kit matters

The North American P-51D Mustang was one of the best-known American fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Its combination of speed, range and performance made it highly suited to long-range bomber escort missions over Europe. The P-51D used the Packard-built Merlin engine and featured the distinctive bubble canopy associated with later Mustang production.
