Why this kit matters
The North American P-51 Mustang became one of the best-known fighters of the Second World War. The P-51D introduced a bubble canopy that greatly improved pilot visibility and became the most numerous Mustang variant, with nearly 8,000 aircraft built. The type was used mainly as a long-range escort fighter, while also carrying out fighter-bomber and reconnaissance duties.
The P-51D played a major role in the USAAF's air campaign over Europe in 1944 and 1945. Its long range allowed it to escort heavy bomber formations deep into German-held territory. The P-51 also served in other combat theatres and remained in military service after WWII, including combat duties during the Korean War.
How to use it
Build using modelling tools, plastic model cement and suitable paints. The Eduard ProfiPACK edition includes pre-painted photo-etched parts and a painting mask, while decals are also supplied for the marking options. Display proudly once finished at home or in your collection cabinet.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
