The Hisense 85" U6SAU Mini-LED Hi-QLED 4K TV is a good fit for a big family lounge used for streaming, movies and gaming. It has a Mini-LED backlight with Hi-QLED colour, a native 144Hz panel and Dolby Atmos sound with a built-in subwoofer.

Mini-LED picture

This TV has a Mini-LED backlight, which means many small LEDs behind the screen help lift brightness and deepen contrast. It also has Hi-QLED colour, which aims for rich, vivid tones. It is designed for bright living rooms.

This TV has the Hi-View AI Engine, which means it adjusts colour, contrast and clarity in real time as you watch. It also upscales lower-resolution shows to suit the 4K (3840 × 2160) screen, which means older shows and free-to-air TV fill the large screen more cleanly. Results still depend on the quality of the source.

Gaming and connections

This TV has a native 144Hz panel with HDMI VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which means smoother motion and more responsive controls when you're gaming. High frame rates depend on your console, PC and game supporting them.

This TV has four HDMI inputs, two of them HDMI 2.1, which means you can keep your most demanding devices on the HDMI 2.1 ports. It also has two USB ports, Ethernet, optical audio out, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth, which means you can connect by cable or wirelessly.

Movies and sound

This TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+, which means movies and shows made in these formats have more detail in the bright and dark parts of the picture.

This TV supports Dolby Atmos and has a built-in subwoofer, which means fuller bass for movies, sport and music. It also has HDMI eARC, which means you can connect a compatible soundbar later with one cable.

Smart TV and apps

This TV runs VIDAA, which means Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Binge, Foxtel Now, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, YouTube, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, 7Plus and 9Now are all in one place. Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Binge, Foxtel Now, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ require an additional subscription and internet connection at additional cost.

This TV has Amazon Alexa built in and works with Google Home and Apple HomeKit, which means you can control it with your voice or from your smart home app. It has Apple AirPlay 2, which means you can share from compatible Apple devices. It also has a built-in HD tuner with Freeview, which means you can watch free-to-air TV alongside your apps.
