THE DEVIL IS A WOMAN (1935) – The glamorous Marlene Dietrich stars in this alluring romance set in the port town of Seville at the turn of the century. DESIRE (1936) - Madeleine (Marlene Dietrich) steals a string of pearls in Paris and uses US engineer Tom (Gary Cooper), who is driving on his vacation to Spain, to get the pearls out of France, but getting the pearls, back from him proves to be difficult without falling in love.
ANGEL (1937) - The story describes a love triangle initiated by Lady Maria Barker (Dietrich), the comfortable but neglected wife of a top-level British diplomat in the pre-World-War-II era. Maria is faced with the possibility of divorce when her husband learns that she has had an affair, but he realizes that he has not spent enough time with her and cancels his business plans to take her on a much-needed vacation.
PITTSBURGH (1942) - Charles 'Pittsburgh' Markham rides roughshod over his friends, his lovers, and his ideals in his trek toward financial success in the Pittsburgh steel industry, only to find himself deserted and lonely at the top. When his crash comes, he finds that fate has dealt him a second chance.
