The Samsung 65" QN80H NEO QLED 4K Mini LED TV is a good fit for movie nights and gaming in the family living room. It has a Quantum Mini LED backlight with quantum dot colour evaluated at 100% Colour Volume, HDR10+ support, a native 100Hz panel and variable refresh up to 144Hz with compatible devices.

Neo QLED picture and colour

This TV has Quantum Mini LEDs controlled by Samsung's Quantum Matrix Technology Core, which means finer contrast and extra brightness in each scene. The QN80H series has been evaluated by VDE as reaching 100% Colour Volume against the DCI-P3 colour standard, which means colours stay rich as brightness rises.

This TV has Neo Quantum HDR+ with HDR10+ support, which means HDR is adjusted scene by scene on supported content. It also has the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor with 20 AI neural networks, which means picture and sound are tuned as you watch, and lower-resolution content is upscaled toward 4K. Upscaling may not apply in Game Mode or to PC connections.

Gaming and connections

This TV has four HDMI 2.1 inputs, which means you can plug in a console, a gaming PC and a soundbar without swapping cables.

This TV has a native 100Hz refresh rate, and variable refresh rate (VRR) is listed at up to 144Hz at 4K with a compatible source device that supports it. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which means less screen tearing with compatible devices.

This TV supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which means it switches to a low-lag picture mode when a compatible console or PC asks for it. AI Gaming Optimiser and Game Bar make game settings quicker to reach.

Sound

This TV has built-in 2-channel speakers with Dolby Atmos, which means you get Dolby Atmos sound from the TV itself when the content is Dolby Atmos enabled. Active Voice Amplifier Pro helps keep dialogue clear over background noise, and Adaptive Sound Pro tunes audio to the room.

This TV has HDMI eARC and an optical output, which means you can add a soundbar later.

Smart TV and apps

This TV runs One UI Tizen, which means Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube are on one home screen. Gaming Hub means you can play Xbox Game Pass and other cloud gaming services without a console, though you may need a controller. Netflix, Disney+, Xbox Game Pass and other cloud gaming services require an additional subscription and internet connection at additional cost. Some features need a Samsung account.

This TV has Vision AI Companion and Amazon Alexa built in, which means you can ask questions on screen and control the TV with your voice. AirPlay 2 and SmartThings are also supported.
