The Samyang 8mm F3.5 Fisheye UMC II APS-C Nikon AE Camera Lens features a detachable lens hood, it is otherwise the same (optically and mechanically) as the non detachable hood version.

This lens is built for APS-C, but it can also be used on full-frame cameras with the lens hood detached. On full-frame cameras, this lens gives a wide field of view, making it ideal for panoramas and 3D virtual tours.

The optical construction of the lens is 10 elements placed in 7 optical groups. The Samyang 8mm F3.5 Fisheye UMC II APS-C Nikon AE Camera Lens features an aspherical hybrid lens and the latest anti-reflective multi-coating (MC) to minimise flare and ghosting.
