The Sony 65" BRAVIA 9 II True RGB Mini-LED AI 4K TV suits movie nights, sport and gaming. It has an RGB Mini-LED backlight with local dimming, a native 120Hz panel, Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced picture modes, a speaker system with Sony's Beam Tweeter, and 4K at 120Hz VRR for gaming.

RGB Mini-LED picture

This TV has an RGB Mini-LED backlight with local dimming, which means brightness is adjusted in different areas of the screen to help keep dark scenes deep and bright highlights strong.

This TV supports Dolby Vision, HLG and Advanced HDR, which means movies and shows made in these formats have more detail in the bright and dark parts of the picture. It also upscales lower-resolution content to 4K, which means older shows and free-to-air TV fill the screen more cleanly. Results depend on the source.

Picture modes for movies and sport

This TV has Cinema, Professional, IMAX Enhanced, Calm, Photo and four Dolby Vision picture modes, which means you can pick a setting to suit what you're watching. A 24p cinema mode suits film.

This TV has a native 120Hz panel, which helps fast-moving sport and action look smoother.

Sound

This TV has a built-in speaker system that includes Sony's Beam Tweeter, and it supports Dolby Atmos and DTS. It also has HDMI eARC and an optical output via an adapter, which means you can connect a soundbar or home theatre system.

Gaming and connections

This TV has four HDMI inputs, and two of them are HDMI 2.1. It supports 4K at 120Hz with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which means smoother, more responsive gaming. Games must support VRR or 4K at 120fps to use these features.

This TV has FPS and RTS game picture modes and a Dolby Vision game mode, which means you can set the picture up for the type of game you're playing.

This TV has 2 USB ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, which means you can connect to your home network by cable or Wi-Fi and pair Bluetooth devices.

Google TV and apps

This TV runs Google TV, which means shows and movies from your apps are gathered in one place. Australian apps include ABC iView, SBS On Demand, 7Plus, 9Now, TenPlay, YouTube, Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Kayo, Binge and BritBox. Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Kayo, Binge and BritBox require an additional subscription and internet connection at additional cost. A Google Account is needed for many features.

This TV has Google Assistant voice control and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, which means you can control it with your voice or from your smart home app. It has AirPlay 2, which means you can share from Apple devices, and a built-in HD tuner for free-to-air TV.
