Sony Alpha A9 Full Frame Mirrorless Camera [4K Video] (Body Only)
- 24MP Exmor RS CMOS Sensor
- 20fps Continuous shooting

24 Megapixel Exmor RS Sensor
The world’s first full-frame stacked CMOS sensor gives the A9 truly staggering readout speeds. Combined with the latest advancements in pixel-expansion and microlenses, this sensor allows the A9 to deliver both speed and quality with unrivalled performance.
20fps Continuous Shooting
To complement the new Exmor RS sensor, the A9 is equipped with the new ront-end LSI chip, allowing the camera to capture a mind-blowing 20 frames per second, while maintaining continuous autofocus and uninterrupted viewfinder display, providing a complete solution for demanding sports photographers.
Magnesium Alloy Chassis
The A9 is designed to withstand the rigors of professional use, with a full magnesium alloy chassis and extensive dust and moisture sealing. From the ground up, the A9 has been designed as a workhorse tool for everyday use.
Dual media Slots
You can’t just have a do-over for the perfect moment- that’s why the A9 includes dual SD card slots, so you can capture redundantly for instant backup and peace of mind. Additionally, for speed-critical capture, one slot supports the ultra-fast UHS-3 standard for rapid buffer clearing.
Rate of capture doesn’t count for much if your images aren’t sharp, which is why the A9 is the first full-frame E-Mount camera to bear the 4D Focus badge. Gathering focus information from 693 on-sensor Phase Detect autofocus points, the A9 is capable of tracking even fast moving subjects with incredible accuracy across the entire image frame.
5 Stop 5-Axis SteadyShot Inside
An improved version of the stabilisation system employed in the A7 series camera bodies, the A9’s 5-Axis SteadyShot system is capable of compensating for up to 5 stops of camera shake, ensuring total clarity in handheld shooting.
Improved User Controls
A range of tweaks to the user interface signal the A9’s devotion to the needs of professional shooters. Rapid AF adjustment via the AF mode dial and Joystick allows busy photographers to achieve total control of focus in an instant, while touch focus and a dedicated AF-ON button provide additional flexibility.
Every aspect of the A9 has been tailored to meet photographers’ requirements, even the menus. A new “My Menu” makes it possible to create a customised menu page with your most required features on it, minimising the time you need to spend looking for functions, while focus area registration allows fast-working photographers to set key focus areas for landscape and portrait orientations that the camera will instantly recall as it moves.
