Taxi is a classic sitcom that centres around the eclectic staff of a New York city cab company. The core of the company is disillusioned Alex (Judd Hirsch), who’s sure he will be driving a cab for the rest of his life. But for frustrated actor Bobby (Jeff Conaway), struggling boxer Tony (Tony Danza), art gallery receptionist Elaine (Marilu Henner), the cab company is just a temporary job that can be left behind when they make it in their chosen professions. While trying to deal with tyrannical dispatcher Louie De Palma (Danny Devito), they build friendships as they struggle for success in other careers, love and life.
